ROSEMARY BEACH, FLORIDA

HOW TO GET THERE: We flew in to PANAMA CITY BEACH (25 minutes away from Rosemary Beach). This small airport has non-stop flights from Atlanta, Baltimore, Houston, and Nashville. You could also fly into the very small airport in DESTIN (VPS), which has non-stop flights from Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas, Houston, and Washington DC. We rented a car, but you won’t really need one once you are in Rosemary Beach.

WHERE TO STAY:

THE PEARL (63 Main St, Rosemary Beach, FL 32461). Unless you have a big group and want to rent one of the incredible beach homes, you should stay at the Pearl (and not just because it is the only hotel in Rosemary Beach). Service was impeccable from the start – we were greeted with glasses of champagne the moment we arrived. The room was spacious and pretty, and our balcony had a view of both the pool and the ocean. The outside of this hotel is unusual and looks like it belongs in Europe! This hotel is centrally located to everything Rosemary Beach has to offer – the restaurants along Main Street are located just steps from the hotel. Every room has an iPad and the bathroom even has a flat screen TV in the mirror (they are also the first resort in the US to offer Apple TV’s in every room). Tip: This hotel is a little pricey, but check out their near perfect reviews on TripAdvisor! The Pearl

EXPLORE THE TOWN – the town itself is very small, basically one main street full of shops and sidewalk cafes. However, make sure you also wander around and look at the mansions that line every street surrounding the downtown area.

WHERE TO EAT:

LA CREMA TAPAS AND CHOCOLATE (38 Main St, Rosemary Beach, FL 32461) (Tapas, $$). This restaurant is too damn cute. The color scheme is white everything and the menu is made up of tapas and delicious desserts. We tried a ton of the tapas plates (everything was great) and ordered the Chocolate Dipped Bacon and the Chocolate Fondue (yum). I would highly recommend this place. Open Sunday – Thursday from 11am – 10pm and Friday – Saturday 11am – 11pmLa Crema Tapas

SUMMER KITCHEN CAFE (60 N Barrett Square, Rosemary Beach, FL 32413) (Breakfast & Brunch, $$) This casual restaurant that overlooks the town square is a great breakfast or lunch spot. Make sure to sit outside and enjoy the people watching! Tip: breakfast is served 7:30am -10:30am, lunch is served 10:30am – 3:00pm, dinner is served 5:00pm – 9:00pm, closed Monday and Tuesday nights. Summer Kitchen Cafe

EDWARD’S FINE FOOD AND WINE (66 Main St, Rosemary Beach, FL 32616) (Seafood, $$$) We sat outdoors on the patio and enjoyed the live music! Food and wine was great. Opens at 5pm. Edward’s

DONUT HOLE (Multiple locations – we went to: 12983 Hwy. 98 E, Inlet Beach, FL) (Donuts, $) – We stopped here on the way to the airport and picked up a few donuts to go. Yum! However, they have much more than just donuts so be sure to check it out.

Rosemary Beach is only 30miles/45 minutes from DESTIN, FLORIDA. Check back for my Destin blog, coming soon!
